The Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022 compensates military personnel, veterans, civilians, and families who can prove that the base water contamination likely caused their health issues. The Camp Lejeune Justice Act is part of the Honoring Our PACT Act of 2022, which allows impacted veterans, civilians, and their families to sue in federal court for financial damages. Veterans, civilians, and family members can qualify if they were stationed, worked at, or lived on base at Camp Lejeune for at least 30 days from August 1, 1953, to December 31, 1987, and experienced adverse health effects. They also may qualify if they were exposed in-utero to the contaminated water and experience or have experienced related health issues. Families of those who were on base for 30 days during that period and died of one of the health ailments also may qualify.
If you or a family member has experienced any of the ADSTR-identified health conditions or conditions similar to them and were at Camp Lejeune during the time of the contaminated water, you may be entitled to financial compensation.
